Please provide a reproducible test case. I just tried: display /usr/share/wallpapers/stripes.png in KDE and it worked fine. Yup... in kde and that one works... interesting... especially since all of ~/mageia/distrib/cauldron/x86_64/install/extra/advertising/*_IM_mageia.png always exhibit the issue... I tried mogrify'ing stripes.png to different sizes, including 457x308; but that one doesn't exhibit the problem. Looks like this is an old bug... https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=634776 http://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=20910 I would suggest reporting it upstream then, and providing them with an image file that produces the problem. Not seen in mga5. Status:
