I don't think any menu editor should be in minimal installation. It's not need to get minimal working environment. Also, we should provide such menu that there're no reason to edit menus at all. Secondly, users who wants to edit menus are supposed to know how to install some menu editor. Triaged (In reply to Jani Välimaa from comment #2) I also think same as Jani. A minimal installation should pull *only* dependencies and needed tools for a working environment. Without mate-menu-editor MATE Desktop will work. So no need to add bloat to a task-minimal package. Users who wants such tools and applications should install task-mate package. Closing this bug report as Wontfix. Status:
