12247 Yep, A new kernel will be pushed later today I guess it's CONFIG_FB_SIMPLE that got disabled Yep. and the fun thing is that FB_SIMPLE is not supposed to be needed on x86 and x86_64 as FB_SIMPLE relies on devicetree or platform data... the vga= is supposed to work with the other framebuffers we have availavle, including FB_BOOT_VESA_SUPPORT 3.12.6-desktop-5.mga4 resolves my problem on 3 systems and the virtualbox guest. No idea if it clears the other duplicate bug reports at this time so I will not set this one resolved. I'm pretty sure it does Status:
