Classic 4RC DVD 64 with default MATE installation

NetworkManager applet is installed and shows in the top right of the screen but when the mouse is hovered over the icon the helper text is white on a pale yellow making it very difficult to read.

I have used latest Beta2 iso but can not reproduce this problem. See attachement.

I already having trouble with ml. Please excuse me from subscribing this one. And, i' d like to access these isos to test. And i still can not reproduce this issue on fully updated VM.
