Description Andrew S 2013-12-16 01:10:17 CET
Description of problem:
While watching tv on xine, the volume kept reducing from 100% to 40-50% while installing software in the background

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Play dvd, tv or watch video file with xine (or similar players?) at full volume
2. Run mcc software installer
3. Install multiple software packages, (task-software, e.g desktops, education packages, games)
4. Volume drops without any user interference. Re-establishing 100%, it may drop again in the next minute or so.

This happened with me watching TV on xine, but will it happen with different sources / different players? Seems to be a processing issue.

NB
Side issue while running xine TV app (probably related)
Using package manager to find files to install is curious as it doesn't clear its listing and reload a new searc parameter, it seems to view the rest of the items before clearing and coming up with a new search. This is behaviour I haven't seen before in Mageia/Mandriva use.

Does this still happen in Mageia 4? In Mageia 5RC (due in a few days)?
