Description Zoltan Balaton 2013-12-12 01:37:25 CET
I have noticed during upgrading proftpd from mga2 to mga3 version that there may be a problem with dependencies. Previously libpcre0 provided libpcreposix.so.1 while in mga3 there is a separate package for this. But an upgrade does not pull this in but leaves both libpcre0 and libpcre1 installed instead. (To fix this I had to remove libpcre0 which also removed proftpd and then reinstall proftpd which then installed libpcreposix1.) I'm not sure which package is at fault here so this may belong to a different package.

Another issue is that with proftpd-1.3.4c-2.1.mga3 after tha update there are some files in /var that do not seem to belong there. I now have these file in /var:
/var/proftpd.delay
/var/proftpd.pid
/var/proftpd.scoreboard
/var/proftpd.scoreboard.lck

From a quick look it seesm the problem is with the libification of pcre. It's a bit of a tricky one overall to fix the libification but should be possible.

Can't work on it myself just now tho'!

Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.
http://blog.mageia.org/en/2014/11/26/lets-say-goodbye-to-mageia-3/

Mageia 3 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia
please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia
and reopen this bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
