Description Jean Michel Varvou 2011-05-07 11:44:52 CEST
Description of problem:
audio card VT1708 A not detected by alsamixer. This problem occurred with the latest kernel versions. The card is recognized on Mandriva 2010.2 and the core desktop 2.6.36.2-2

A workaround was found by adding the option pci = use_crs at the boot.

ps : use_crs [X86] Use PCI host bridge window information
from ACPI. On BIOSes from 2008 or later, this
is enabled by default. If you need to use this,
please report a bug.

Hi,

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.

Thanks :)

Cheers,
marja
