It's something that needs fixing but I would suggest you to use network icon in the dock. Right-click on the triangle that shows hidden dock icons and choose dock settings, then enable network management from there. CC:

mageia Thanks, Sander, but it doesn't bother me overly. I just figured since this behavior is only a few days old, I'd report it while it might still be easy to identify the source.
