@ Joel, I assume diaspora contains what you need to start a pod? @ Augier I CC'ed you, because of your involvement in diaspora, but also because I thought you had already found a mentor, so already started to become a packager. Did you? I don't see you in the list of apprentices who found a mentor https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager#Apprenticeship_in_progress If you don't have a mentor, yet, then I hope stormi (diaspora fan) can help you find one :-) CC:

christophe, marja11, stormi Thanks for thinking about me @marja ;) Outch... Joel, my friend, if you plan to package diaspora for Mageia, I have to warn you: you are running into big troubles :/ diaspora is probably one of le least easy programm to package because it means you'll have to package each Ruby gem by hand. And there's *a lot* (see gemfile here : https://github.com/diaspora/diaspora/blob/develop/Gemfile). Though, if you feel strong enough, you can contact Praveen (hist diaspora handle is praveen@poddery.com, you can see his profile here: https://poddery.com/u/praveen@poddery.com). He packaged diaspora for Debian recently and it should be available in Sid. If you are on diaspora, feel free to contact him to ask for advice. And of course, you can also contact me ;) Diaspora isn't dead, but it's close. That, plus the difficulties in packaging it mentioned above mean it's unlikely to happen unless you do it yourself. CC:
