Advisory Text

I've submitted:

get_iplayer-2.85-1.mga3.src.rpm which generates get_iplayer-2.85-1.mga3.noarch.rpm to core/updates_testing.

The package is now noarch (it technically was before too but not marked as such).

I've tested the package before and after update:

 Before: Receives listing OK, but fails to download programmes
 After: As above but downloads programmes correctly

Job done!

As it's no arch I think I've tested both setups.

Colin could you post one get_iplayer command that you know works.

get_iplayer --get 1100  ( example )
Saving the file to the local directory.

something anything that works. Thanks

You'll probably need a UK IP address to use this, I can do it tomorrow.

Thanks, seems like an interesting app.

Yeah think it needs a UK IP. Devilishly enough, I tested it (and watched) with id 666 yesterday. Good show, interesting and impartial documentary :)

Testing complete mga2 32 & 64

$ get_iplayer --channel BBC One
$ get_iplayer --get <PID> - Trying to avoid The One Show ;)

Programme is downloaded and converted OK.

Cool, FWIW, it does print out "Saving thumbnail to xxx" for me and it never actually does save a thumbnail.... it's always done that tho', so no new regression or anything - just a quirk!

Cheers!

Could it be missing a require on libffmpegthumbnailer4 colin?

Doesn't seem to help. It does specifically say it's "downloading" the thumbnail rather than generating it. Hey ho, doesn't really bother me as I'd just have to delete them anyway - When I use this tool (typically before flights etc), I only want the video - for my other iPlayer needs I usually just stick to XBMC.
