Description DariuszSki 2011-05-05 22:25:18 CEST
Description of problem:
Original install method: Update Mandriva 2010.1 to Mageia Beta.

When running a package update using the package manager GUI, after downloading an installing about 80 packages of 168, an error occurs which states the following:

A fatal error occurred: Bizarre copy of CODE in aassign at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.12.3/urpm/install.pm line 268. .

The rest of the install fails, and when you try to re-start the installs to finish off updating, all the remaining packages vanish from the install list, and are never visible again to install, they do not install.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Current version of Mageia Beta.

How reproducible:
Package update via Mageia Control Center GUI.

Am closing the bug report as I ended up doing a clean install of Mageia so the problem does not appear any more (touch wood).
