since desktop kernel uses to much power on laptops, I installed the suggested kernel-tmb-laptop kernel, whcih performs much better.

If you want to install virtualbox, it is dependend on kmod(vboxdrv) which is also provided by dkms-virtualbox.
But even dkms-virtualbox depends on kernel-devel-latest, which is not provided by kernel-tmb-laptop-devel-latest.

Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.
