Description of problem:

I can't open Firefox since I have updated to 24.1.0 version

[adrien@localhost ~]$ firefox
XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /usr/lib64/firefox-24.1.0/libxul.so:
/lib64/libevent.so.5: file too short
Couldn't load XPCOM.

works fine here ( and nobody notice this previously in the QA, see in bug 11370)

do you have all needed package as 64bits installed ?

Yes, I think.

I have updated my system with urpmi --auto-update.

If I don't have one of package mentionned into the Firefox RPM, URPMI must install it !

another idea, what is md5 of /lib64/libevent.so.5 and /usr/lib64/firefox-24.1.0/libxul.so

Can you try this command as root: urpmi --replacepkgs lib64event5

And then try to run Firefox again. Seems like your libevent.so.5 is bogus.
