"Vous pouvez sélectionner ici un pilote alternatif (OSS ou ALSA) pour votre carte son (ATI Technologies Inc|Juniper HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 5700 Series]).

Your card currently uses the ALSA "snd_hda_intel" driver (the default driver for your card is "snd_hda_intel")

Before rebooting try this in a terminal :-

su
alsactl store

If the sound is not back after reboot try this:-
(with no sound applications running)

su
alsactl restore

Does that bring it back?

I think this has been fixed by sound-scripts-0.60-5.mga1:
* Thu May 19 2011 colin <colin> 0.60-5.mga1
+ Revision: 99700
- Fix asound.state path to avoid resetting mixer settings on boot. mga#1202

Crap, I know there was another bug related to this issue. Yes I suspect this should fix things too (obviously you have to fix it manually once, then reboot and it should be OK at the next boot).

Can you confirm?

OK, I'm going to close as I'm pretty sure it has been fixed. If you find a problem, please do reopen.
