Triaged This should be fixed during the development of mindi 3.0 (a beta is now available at ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/test/mageia/3) As soon as this version is considered stable enough it will be push to mageia 3 and 4. Status:

ASSIGNED Thanks Bruno. I can confirm that the beta no longer crashes for me - Mondo is now busy spooling tape! Just a minor observation on the beta dated 22/01/2014 from the ftp: Mindi semed to take quite a long time without displaying anything - went from 3% to 99% with more than a minute of no screen update, which is a bit disconcerting: ---evalcall---1--- Calling MINDI to create boot+data disk ---evalcall---2--- TASK: [*...................] 3% done; 1:04 to go ---evalcall---E--- ---evalcall---1--- Calling MINDI to create boot+data disk ---evalcall---2--- TASK: [********************] 99% done; 0:01 to go ---evalcall---E--- Mindi may well be fixed in the beta, but Mondo is broken - it thinks it has finished when it hasn't: ---progress-form---4--- TASK: [*...................] 1% done; 4652:57 to go ---progress-form---1--- I am now backing up all large files. ---progress-form---2--- Volume 1: 19,408,000 kilobytes archived so far ---progress-form---3--- Please wait. This may take some time. ---progress-form---E--- ---progress-form---4--- TASK: [*...................] 1% done; 4617:42 to go Done. Writing any remaining data to media Done. Done. Backup and/or verify ran to completion. Everything appears to be fine. /var/cache/mindi/mondorescue.iso, a boot/utility CD, is available if you want it Data archived OK. Mondoarchive ran OK. See /var/log/mondoarchive.log for details of backup run. Execution run ended; result=0 Type 'less /var/log/mondoarchive.log' to see the output log Having kept everything else from the beta, but reverted to Mondo 3.03 from Mageia 3, it now seems to be backing up large files properly, and is no longer giving such a large estimate of time to completion: ---progress-form---4--- TASK: [***.................] 13% done; 127:36 to go ---progress-form---1--- I am now backing up all large files. ---progress-form---2--- Volume 1: 36,073,216 kilobytes archived so far ---progress-form---3--- Please wait. This may take some time. ---progress-form---E--- Could you try with the latest 3.2.0 version now official available at ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org/mageia/3 ? TIA, Bruno. Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago. http://blog.mageia.org/en/2014/11/26/lets-say-goodbye-to-mageia-3/ Mageia 3 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia and reopen this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. -- The Mageia Bugsquad Status:
