Mageia3 comes with the LibreOffice suite. But LibreOffice's developpers worked in so much directions that many RTF documents can no more be correctly opened (non-ascii characters, new page orders, margins, aso).

OpenOffice makes a very good job treating RTF files and works correctly (at least on WXP) doing exactly what I want.

Can we have a choice between LibreOffice and OpenOffice in the next Mageia ?

I don't think this is doable.

Also before libreoffice was here, most of linux distribution was using a fork of OpenOffice.Org, Go-oo

You should report bugs to libreoffice if there is some.
