Description Ojangu 2013-10-24 19:43:59 CEST
When Cauldron or Mageia 3 starting, first message is:
0.000000] tsc: Fast TSC calibration failed.

It is very unpleasant to see that message as fist message from Mageia to user.
Is it possible to remove this message from screen?

Is it a general bug on any distrib (make a little search to be convinced)
maybe try that https://ask.fedoraproject.org/question/32788/fedora-19-fast-tsc-calibration-failed-311/

But it "breaks" a nice bootsplash, so I will hide it as a debug message

Has it been done or is it still valid?

Assigning to kernel and drivers maintainers, to decide what to do with this report.

IIUC, on this machine it does not fail, so I can't check whether the error gets hidden or not.

This issue was reported over 7 years ago and no oned complained about it since.
Assuming tmb did hide this debug message as planned,
