GNOME is planning to offer a new recording program by GNOME 3.12. But that's Mageia 5. Mageia 4 will only have GNOME 3.10. I'll see if I can fix this for Cauldron. CC:

olav I made lib64gnome-media-profiles3.0_0 require libgnome-media-profiles. I don't understand why the lib64gnome-media-profiles3.0_0 require would be missing, this should be added automatically. $ urpmq --requires gnome-media | grep media --requires behaviour changed, use --requires-recursive to get the old behaviour libgnome-media-profiles-3.0.so.0()(64bit) So I think I fixed the most important bit now. gnome-media also has the following bits: Suggests: gstreamer0.10-flac Suggests: gstreamer0.10-speex Suggests: gnome-control-center Meaning: it will optionally install above. It already requires plugins-good and plugins-base from gstreamer. I assume it should just work with any of those plugins, but other bugreport talks about gstreamer0.10-flac, which is a bit weird to me.

https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8703 Is this still valid, as Olav's comments suggest it should be long fixed? CC:
