drakx-installer-stage2 just a matter to tag as utf-8 where needed Keywords:

Junior_job "where needed" is the problem, encoding info is unknown we have to test if it is valid utf-8 As usual Why set severity to enhancement ? because it doesn't break anything

USABILITY (In reply to comment #6) > because it doesn't break anything Yes, but it's still something that many people will see :) Not many people, I had never seen a machine with non ascii characters in a windows partition name, and never seen another report. Changing "QA Contact" Pascal Terjan to "Assigned To" Pascal Terjan @ Pascal Please assign back to Bug Squad, if doing this is wrong, or assign to the current maintainer of drakx-installer-stage2 CC:

marja11 Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja Keywords:

diskdrake in mga4 shows partition label with russian characters
This bug is still valid for mageia4. On screenshot the ntfs partition created by Windows 7 installer is presented. This also reproductible for linux ext4 partitions with label that contains non-latin characters. For example, after command 'tune2fs -L ÐеÑка /dev/sdb4' (sdb4 is my home partition) diskdrake shows 'ÃÂõÃÂúð' label for sdb4.CC:
