Description Carolyn Rowse 2013-09-14 21:41:15 CEST
Description of problem:

I have an alpha 2 installation made from the live KDE CD. After install I added LibreOffice, Flash player, MATE desktop (not used yet), Gnome Mahjongg and Aisleriot.

When the notification appeared that updates were available, I clicked to install them from the applet. First I was asked to select a language pack for LibreOffice, which I did. Then I was told I needed either gnome-shell-3.9.91.2.mga4.i586 or xfce4-notifyd-0.2.4.1.mga4.i586. I tried both of those two in turn and got the same result - I was asked to choose a language pack for LO again and then got a message stating that some packages would have to be removed for others to be updated. It was a long list, but I'll attach a screenshot of the first part and you can see it includes a lot of the installed stuff.

It was just bad timing between major updates. New colord was landing to mirrors at the same and we noticed some pkg'ing flaws in it which caused issues like yours. However all should be OK now.

Closing this as FIXED. Feel free to reopen if needed.
