Description Barry Jackson 2013-08-23 12:07:00 CEST
sdcc requires pdfopt.
pdfopt was provided in previous versions of ghostscript but was dropped from 0.97 which is currently in cauldron. (the pdfopt man pages are still packaged BTW)
Without pdfopt configure of sdcc fails.

I have reported this upstream as the latest snapshot of sdcc also still requires pdfopt.

Herbert,
I have been looking at this again, and it can be fixed by updating to 3.3.0 and disabling the docs in the main package. The 3.3 docs are available in separate tarball now and may be better placed in a -doc sub-package.
What do you think?
I tried to ping you on irc but no reply.

Herbert,
I got your email - not sure how, as it said it was being returned to you as un-deliverable - really strange.

I have comitted sdcc-3.3.0 as mentioned above - will you please look and if you are happy with it, please request a freeze push on dev-ML.

It builds in iurt locally in x86_64 and i586 and appears to compile a small test.

Barry
