Attachments: Stacktrace for a similar digiKam crash

Description Peter Potrowl 2013-08-08 19:24:03 CEST
Description of problem:
I experiment frequent crashes with digiKam. This is annoying because the software cannot be used normally. The crashes produced stacktraces which I reported on bugs.kde.org.

Please see: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=320154

It seems that the reason is a binary incompatibility between the versions of digiKam and KDE included in Mageia 3.

Could you please provide an update (the latest version of digiKam with binary compatibility)?

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
* digikam-3.1.0-2.mga3.x86_64.rpm
* I only use the official RPMs of Mageia 3 and my distribution is up-to-date

How reproducible:
Often.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use digikam features (tagging, diaporama)
2. A crash happens after 30 minutes to 1 h, depending on the functions used and their configuration

Thanks!

Stacktrace for a similar digiKam crash

Here is another stacktrace for a more frequent digiKam crash that is not related to Qt::QUrl. This crash appears very often (~ 2 or 3 times per hour) when I describe and tag pictures with digiKam.

Comment 3 Marja Van Waes 2015-03-31 16:05:29 CEST
Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.
http://blog.mageia.org/en/2014/11/26/lets-say-goodbye-to-mageia-3/

Mageia 3 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Mageia
please feel free to click on "Version" change it against that version of Mageia
and reopen this bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
