The DVD can only have free open source software... however the firmware has been a sticky subject.. I think this bug report will be fixed by a similar solution to the one propose by Wolfgang Bornath in bug 523. @ Mike Am I correct to think this was still an issue when installing Mageia 1? If so, did you indeed use the DVD? Keywords:

(none) Hi, Yes I was using Mageia 1 32 bit DVD. In order to get the required wireless firmware I had to connect to the internet on a wire, the firmware is not on the DVD. But I guess that is by current design since the DVD must only contain free open source software. Thanks |
