Description of problem:
Typical use of dual-arch iso is to install a basic system, often without working X (configured X, but no desktop-environment installed, no display-manager installed and thus launching X fails) and so commandline tools are important.

But the dual-arch iso doesn't contain the "man" program. So you have to know the command-syntax already and/or hope that all commands provide a --help switch without doing something unexpected.

1. Install Mageia 3 from dual-arch iso. No man package. 
2. also in the rescue-mode, man-pages would be /very/ welcome to know the fsck switches, etc.

Thanks for the report Christian, but I'm going to close this bug
as invalid. The dual-cd is limited to 700MB, and has both i586 and
x86_64 packages on it. There just isn't enough room, to have the
man package, without removing something critical to getting a system
that will boot.

The decision to remove the man package, was done intentionally, during
the beta (or may have been rc) testing, in order to get the iso back
under 700MB.

Users using the dual-cd must install many things after the install,
including, for example, pulseaudio, as noted in the errata.

Well, this is a *very bad* decision, but at least it is a decision.

As to install stuff, you'll probably have to use the commandline tools.

Even more stupid is to have vim-enhanced /and/ vim-minimal /and/ vim-X11 on the dual-arch iso, and not installing vim-enhanced by default, in fact not even being able to install vim-enhanced or vim-X11 by manual package selection since vim-common is not included in the iso.

But bug is wrong place to discuss, thus I'll bring it to the mailing-list. Thanks a lot for the quick response.

Instead of speaking about stupid decision just make proposals. I'm sure that will be far more constructive

Instead of again picking words out of context, actually reading the reply would allow to actually see the suggestion.

* the decision was titled als *very bad*
* the situation that instead of man uninstallable packages are on the iso is "stupid"
* the suggestion is to remove those uninstallable packages (vim-enhanced and vim-X11) to free way more space than needed for man
