Description Pablo Saratxaga 2013-06-18 11:21:26 CEST
rgrep (aka recursive grep)'s main feature is the ability to do a grep search recursively on a subdirectory tree.

But the version shipped in Cauldron (4) (and maybe in mageia 3?) fails to do so, breaking the principal use of the tool.

How to reproduce:

rgrep -D -r bin/perl /usr/lib/libDrakX

it should (-D option) display the list of directories looked in; nothing is displayed, no recursive searching is done.

As indicated on the dev mailing list in May, I unfortunately don't have time to continue maintaining Mageia packages anymore. Please reassign this to someone else.

We appear to have the newest version of jed, and the package hasn't been changed at all since first being imported into Mageia. As we don't have a maintainer for it, you might want to ask on the -dev list or forum to seek help with this one.
