Have you tried the firefox package from the tainted media? CC:

luigiwalser There is no 'tainted' Firefox. Ahh indeed, sorry. Firefox uses gstreamer stuff for HTML5, so you might need the relevant tainted versions of those packages. Where is the HTML5 video there? All I was able to dig up was flash player. Are you sure you have flash player plugin installed and you are not using gnash or something like that? Or how can I enable HTML5 mode there? CC:

You are right, it's flash video, my fault. So it look like some issue between firefox and flash plugin. Opera and Konqueror which use the same plugin play this flash content without any problem. I tried it on Mageia 2 and Mageia 3 and the thing shows up, but when I click play a circle in the middle just spins round and round and it never plays. Maybe a broken website. Anyway, likely not a packaging issue. Marking as INVALID. Status:

Anyway, likely not a packaging issue. Marking as > INVALID. The website isn't broken, and I could add much more examples. I found out some more in the meantime, and so I'll do an new bugreport on firefox and flash. OK, but unless you find it works on other Linux distros, there may not be anything we can do about it. It might be a problem with Flash itself. Yes I saw, but that's a different issue. The one you linked in this bug doesn't work on Mageia 2 either. The Bug 9984 issue does not affect Mageia 2. |
