I have a PHILIPS tv-card. Playing a sound I have to set "CD" because I had to put a cable from the tv-card to CD/DVD device. My problem there is no possibilty to set "CD" in kmix or pulseaudio settings. I had to install xfce4-mixer to set it. 
I tried to set it alsamixergui - no luck. Aumix - no work. Xfce4-mixer was my last chance.

Mageia 3 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status 4 months ago.
