Status comment:

Description noes minombre 2013-05-21 07:21:21 CEST
Description of problem:
The new mpd binary for mga3 does not include LAME support. LAME support was included in mga2. IANAL, but I think including support for LAME in mpd doesn't infringe on any patents - it is up to the user to install LAME and infringe patents ;-)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mpd-0.17.3-5.mga3

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. su -c urpmi mpd lame liblame0
2. configure mpd.conf to use "lame" for "http" output, as per this:
http://mpd.wikia.com/wiki/Configuration#Built-in_HTTP_streaming
3. start mpd manually: su -c mpd
4. mpd errors out with the error message "No such encoder: lame"

nevermind; I reinstalled, and mpd has lame support now. I think I didn't install the -tainted version.
