Description Martin Manns 2013-05-18 05:42:06 CEST
Would it be possible to add a package pyspread?

Pyspread is a non-traditional spreadsheet application that is based on and written in the programming language Python

Pyspread expects Python expressions in its grid cells, which makes a spreadsheet specific language obsolete. Each cell returns a Python object that can be accessed from other cells. These objects can represent anything including lists or matrices.

Pyspread is available for Ubuntu and Debian but not for Mageia

A tarball is available at:
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pyspread

All dependencies seem to be present:
* python
* python-GnuPG-Interface
* python-matplotlib
* python-matplotlib-* (matplotlib backends)
* python-numpy
* wxPython

Problem is that is seems that it depends on wxPython (>=2.8.10, <2.9)
and now wxPython 3.0.0.0 in Cauldron

can you contact upstream Pyspread project to know if they would allow wxPython > 2.9 soon ?

Pyspread version 0.3.1 now supports wxPython > 2.9.
