I have noticed that usb is not here anymore. /proc/bus/usb

Comment 2 Glenn Waller 2013-05-12 02:54:52 CEST
I wanted to change the boot order list, and change the priority back to mageia from win7.

The next kernel install has done this for me, so no big deal, atm.

I'm using grub.

glenn@GamesBox:~ » uname -a
Linux GamesBox.GlennsPref.net 3.8.12-desktop-2.mga3 #1 SMP Fri May 10 08:58:12 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

drakboot crashed again after reboot.
 Thank you.

We would need the full trace, not the first and last lines.
It looks like you can reproduce, so please copy the whole trace.

I don't how to create a full trace.

is there a command to produce the trace?
Comment 6 Glenn Waller 2013-05-29 08:38:52 CEST
I tried to run the program described (as root) in the error with ...

LC_ALL=C drakboot                                                  (29-05 16:32)
Gtk-Message **: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" at /usr/lib/libDrakX/mygtk2.pm line 20.

The gui for auto login appeared and seemed to be active, and closed quietly when I clicked to exit.

Comment 7 Glenn Waller 2013-05-29 08:42:07 CEST
btw, I'm using grub2 since mga4 packages.

I had seen an error involving /proc/bus/usb, but that was getting usb joystick connectivity with vbox. Still, that's when I noticed /proc was gone or inaccessable.
Comment 8 Thierry Vignaud 2013-05-29 16:13:07 CEST
When it crashes, drakbug is run and shows you the trace, like the lines shown in your initial report.
Were those the only lines?

W/o more data, I cannot do anything. There's no /proc/bus/usb for quite some time and we now rely on /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices
Comment 9 Glenn Waller 2013-05-30 01:03:52 CEST
Were those the only lines? Yes that was the full report.

OK. It does not do this with my other system. I figure it's a config glitch, possibly on my behalf, 'though I've never messed with it.

Thank you.
