I have to correct this: It is ONE high beep, pretty long, and ONE low beep, then followed by this "crack"/"snap", whatever. I checked my hard drive and the battery, both seem okay. I am using "Phoenix" BIOS, maybe it will help. Regards

Three strange little noises and a hardware snap when entering KDE desktop =>
Two strange little noises and a hardware snap when entering KDE desktop After nearly exactly one week working with the final release of Mageia 3 I can't reproduce this phenomenon anymore. I hope that it is finally gone forever. Would be interesting to know what it was, though. Please close this thread in one or two weeks. I will report back if it happens again. Otherwise I don't know what to write about this strange "bug" in the future. Thanks. closiing then Status:
