Description Daniel Osmari 2013-05-07 04:04:35 CEST
The Cg package currently contains nothing other than documentation.

Everything else is missing (the Cg compiler, the include files, the .so files).

Reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Jani Välimaa 2013-05-07 15:54:03 CEST
Binaries are currently in devel pkg [1].

Package description for cg says "This package contains documentation." and for devel pkg "Binaries (compiler), libraries and includes files for developing programs based on Cg toolkit."

The pkg isn't really broken, but a bit badly pkg'ed. Maybe we should improve the pkg'ing for mga4.

How is 11011 a duplicate of this bug??
I am guessing cg-3.0.0018-0.3.mga3.nonfree is not a requirement of
rtkit-0.10-3.mga2.x86_64.rpm or ntp-client-4.2.6p5-12.mga3.x86_64.rpm

Yes, I think it was a typo from Manuel when marking another bug duplicate (11012 instead of this one 10012), so don't worry.

* Change binaries from devel package to principal package
* Update package descriptions

References:
https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10012

========================
Updated packages in core/updates_testing:
========================
cg-3.0.0018-0.5.mga4.x86_64.rpm
cg-examples-3.0.0018-0.5.mga4.x86_64.rpm
lib64cg0-3.0.0018-0.5.mga4.x86_64.rpm
lib64cg-devel-3.0.0018-0.5.mga4.x86_64.rpm

Source RPMs:
cg-3.0.0018-0.5.mga4.src.rpm

=======
QA-Test
=======
The update doesn't cause obvious regressions
It's only a packaging update

Old:
[avr12s@localhost ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/cgc
lib64cg-devel-3.0.0018-0.4.mga4.nonfree

New
[avr12s@localhost ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/bin/cgc
cg-3.0.0018-0.5.mga4

I've tested the installation in mga4 x64:
The binaries are now in cg package

Hi Juan Luis Baptiste,

There is no packages 'cg' to test on 3/Nonfree/updates_testing and 4/Nonfree/updates_testing ???

Looking as comment 10, it seems Alfonso pushed the update candidates to core. That is wrong, as Cg is nonfree software as pointed out by David.

Please have the packages removed from 3 & 4 core/updates_testing and submitted to nonfree/updates_testing instead.

Closing as this package was obsoleted because it isn't developed anymore.
